Revisit Rounds 01 The Blues annihilated the Saints in this home game, pulling away in the second and third with consecutive 8 goal quarters to crush the St Kilda team.


Greg Towns has been an inspiration to Carlton this year and a major factor in its undefeated stronghold at the top of the VFL ladder. Against St Kilda he was in dynamic form, and with skipper Alex Jesaulenko, contributed in a major fashion to the Blues huge win. - Inside Football Player of the Year.

Last year in a similar game, the Blues thrashed the Saints by 101 points, but in Round three this year took this furher to 107, although this is still short of their record winning margin of 111 points scored back in 1919.
