Luke Power

Luke Power started at IKON Park at the end of 2019 as the Head of Development, with his primary responsibility being to manage the players' performance and development. A triple premiership star with the Brisbane Lions in the early 2000s, Power has demonstrated an outstanding ability to work with talented young footballers.

After 302 AFL games with the Lions and the Giants, he became an assistant coach with GWS in their second AFL season in 2013. Power previously worked as the AFL Academy coach overseeing the development of the country's top-rated teenagers. In 2021, Power received the significant honour of being named the 2021 AFL Coaches Association’s Assistant Coach of the Year.

Power stepped up into a midfield assistant coaching role in the second half of the 2021 season. After the departure of Daniel O'Keefe, Power will take on the VFL senior coaching role in 2023.
