James Henry 'Tiger' Gardiner

James Gardiner appears on the 1876 Carlton team list in the book "Origins of Australian Football."

Could this be James Henry Gardiner, born Depford U.K. 1848, died 09 December 1921, one of the founders of the North Melbourne Football Club in 1869? He would have been 28 years of age in 1876.
Little is known of his football career and he has only one entry in "The Footballer" which says;
"A 'Tiger' at working, never tires at following, is a grand place and drop kick, but trifle rough in play."
