Winnie Laing joined the Game Changers after being selected with pick No.36 in the 2020 NAB AFL Women’s Draft. A natural-born leader, Laing is a talented midfielder who captained the Sandringham Dragons side. Laing originally came from a basketball background, but was a standout performer in the three NAB League rounds of 2020. Known for her competitiveness and hard-working nature during her junior career, Laing will hope to be a dominant midfielder alongside Maddy Prespakis in 2021.

Winnie Laing was delsited at the end of the 2021 season without playing a senior game.

Laing was captain of the Sandringham Dragons and was drafted to Carlton AFLW for the 2021 season. The 19-year-old speedster will play on the wing in 2022 for Sandringham and can create great goal opportunities moving forward. Laing, who has recently spent some time training with the Saints AFLW team, has been having a great pre-season and we are excited to see what she can do this year.
