"Place-kicking for goal is rarely seen nowadays, but on Saturday in the Carlton-Geelong match five goals were got by this method.

The Carlton team, trainers and officials left for Sydney on the express train on Sunday morning. Only Duncan,Vallence Gough and Seymour were missing.
The team will meet Geelong on Saturday on the SCG and a Combined NSW on the Erskinville Oval on August 20
