Game Review
On the Monday afternoon of the Queen's Birthday long weekend, Carlton suffered a humiliating 40-point loss to Richmond at Princes Park. Taking full advantage of a strong breeze in the second and last quarters, the Tigers used the football better than the Blues and their precise teamwork proved impossible to counter on the day.
This loss dealt a real blow to Carlton, dropping us back to fourth on the ladder behind Melbourne, St Kilda and a resurgent Footscray - who snapped back to their best to beat Hawthorn at the Western Oval, and re-established their finals credentials.
