Game Review

On this fateful day for the Blues, former South Melbourne forward William Morgan kicked five goals against his former club, while promising defender Maurie Beasy suffered a season-ending broken leg, and Carlton notched up consecutive draws for the second time in 11 years. It would be another 96 years before a team played in successive draws two weeks in row, this occurred with the GWS Giants in Rounds 15 and 16 2017

The previous occasion was in the first two rounds of 1911, when Carlton's current coach Norman Clark was a star player in both of those games.
