Game Review
Richmond bounced out to a 13-point lead in the first term, and by the main break were travelling like winners. But Carlton finally clicked as a team in the third quarter, and with their defence on top, overhauled the Tigers to win by 10 points.Leo Brereton was a match winner for Carlton against Richmond and kicked five goals in the process. Peter Falconer was an active rover and forward who provided good support. John James, Serge Silvagni and Bill Arch all played their part. John Thompson defended grimly for the Tigers and received able support from Graham Gahan. Ted Langridge, Neville Crowe and Ian Simpson were in good form. - Football Record.
