Game Review

Carlton thrashed the Saints again at Princes Park, and one of our future greats in Charlie Davey kicked six goals in a spectacular debut. Over the next 11 seasons, Charlie would play 143 games, kick 121 goals, and captain the club - before a chronic knee injury prematurely ended his career.

At the end of this round Carlton were in 4th spot on the ladder with a percentage of 121.7. The Blues would hold onto fourth spot and a place in the finals series by a win from the fifth placed Melbourne who had a better percentage of 132.4.
