Game Review

Revisit Rounds 01 Carlton's horror start to Season 1989 continued right into the middle of the season, this time a horrible last minute loss to the lowly Bears at home.

But this loss would be different to the previous 7 losses this year - after 3 successive finals performances in the prior years including the 1987 Premiership - this one would see the downfall of Coach Robert Walls. After this game, brought about by a last minute goal to Warwick Capper, Walls would be sacked and replaced with Alex Jesaulenko.
