Lionel Proctor was an indigenous player who played reserve grade football for Carlton in 1997. Proctor was also used as a top-up player for Hawthorn reserves in 1997.

Proctor was originally recruited from Alphington via TAC Cup team the Preston Knights, he was part of their 1996 premiership team. He didn't play a senior game for Carlton.

Proctor was drafted by Richmond and played senior football between 1998 and 2001 where he played 20 games and kicked 4 goals. He was delisted at the end of the 2001 season and was not redrafted back into the AFL system.

2002 - Proctor then headed off to play with VFL club Bendigo Diggers.

After leaving the Bendigo Pioneers he played with VCFL team Cobram in the Murray FL and then Northern FL club Northcote Park.

Proctor would play for Northern FL club Fitzroy Rovers for 10 years from 2008 to 2017 before retiring.
