James Linacre

Challenge Cup Competition
DOB: 1814 Derbyshire UK
DOD: 14 June 1877 "Gypsy Villa" Brighton Beach
President: 1866*

Jas is an abbreviation for James.

James Linacre was a building contractor of Kennon and Linacre who built the first stone single span of 150ft Princes Bridge in 1850. At the time it was the world's longest single span bridge. The structure was later replaced with the present day bridge.

James Linacre (builder) died June 14 1877. Residence was "Moorabbin House" Cardigan Street Carlton, formerly of Gipsy Village Brighton.
Is this the same James Linacre who was president?

.*Some records have George Coppin listed as Carlton President in 1866.
