George Drake

1877 June 16
Carlton Second Twenty played Keilor at the Madeline Street ground. Drake was named in the 24 man squad

1877 June 20
Drake was named in the 22 man Carlton touring team that left Melbourne on board the S.S. Barrabool for Sydney.
The Argus shipping list 19 June 1877 (p4) has a G. Trake listed along with other Carlton names. (Trake a misprint?) The return shipping list for the S.S. You Yangs on July 02 lists Drake.
Drake was not named in the team squads that played the Waratah club in both the Rugby and Australian Football games.

1879 June 14
Drake is named in a 26 man Carlton team to play Cremorne at Royal Park.
On this day Carlton were playing Geelong and the Second Twenty played Clifton.
The Argus does mention two Second Twenty Carlton teams in the Saturday edition.
Could this 26 man squad could possibly be an extra junior Carlton Football Club team?, a printing error, or be one of the many football teams associated with the Carlton area, ie; Carlton Imperial, Carlton United, Star of Carlton, etc.
Monday's Argus gives the results of the seniors, and the second twenty's game against Clifton, but no mention of the Cremorne game.
