F. Bismire

Victorian Football Association
Career:

There is some confusion with Bismire.
Little is known, and the name may have been confused with other players.
However, The Australasian, May 22 1886 (p22), writing about the visiting NSW team, which was captained by former Blue William Goer, mentions NSW team member,
"F. Bismire, from Carlton, has done some good work as a back player."

So, some further investigation is required into this player.

1884 April 04 Friday
At the Carlton AGM, F. Bismire was named as a member of Carlton's Second Twenty's committee.
(Australasian April 05 p10)

1886
Writing about Australian Football clubs in Sydney.
"As usual several clubs suffer materially by defections, but the acquisitions have in all cases more than compensated for their loss...."
Their vacancies will be filled by, .... Bismire and Graham both of Carlton.
The Globe (Sydney) May 03 (p8)

1886
F. Bismire's name appears in the NSW team to play Victoria on the MCG Saturday 22 May. Former Blue William Goer is also named in the NSW team.
(Albury Banner and Wodonga Express p24)

There was an A. T. Bismire who was treasurer of the Carlton Cricket Club in 1879, a relation?
