Bonitcha

Victorian Football Association
Career: 1890

A Tasmanian goal sneak.
The 1890 ABC Football Book on the coming season said, "Bonitcha, a goal sneak from Tasmania said to be joining."
Little is known of this player, so far the only information is that Bonitcha was named in a Carlton squad of 33 to play North Park on Princes Oval in a pre season match on April 19.
It seeems that Bonitcha may then have crossed to Fitzroy, as some of their practice matches carry his surname.

The Fitzroy Football Club web site says a N. Bonnitcha played with the Roys in 1890, and the Melbourne Punch May 08 said he was Fitzroy's "goal sneak."
Bonitcha played with Fitzroy against Southern Tasmania May 24 1890

There is a T. BONITCHT who appears in the 1890 First Tasmanian Combined Team photo that played in Melbourne that year.
