Teams represent each VFL Club under the popular nicknames - "Blues", "Swans", "Tigers" etc. Boys born during 1966 or after are eligible for this season and each Club must play a minimum of 100 boys each season.

Teams play two, seven minute quarters during the half time interval at the same ground as senior teams.

At Princes Park, the bigger Bombers kicked 2.1.13 to the Blues 0.1.1 in the Elimination Final. This sees the Blues, consistent Finalists in recent years, drop from the competition and the Bombers go onto to meet the Swans in the First Semi. The Bombers had two brothers playing with the surname of Liberatore, one with the initial of T and the other F (this is not confirmed, but there is a fair chance that it may have been Tony Liberatore and his twin brother who were born in February 1966).
