Biography
Harry 'Herbie' Lowenthal
Recruited from Austral. There was a Lowenthal playing for Austral in 1895.
Much like fellow inception Blue George Johnston, Lowenthal would be part of Carlton's first year in the VFL.
As with Johnston, Lowenthal would only play the solitary game for the Navy Blue, being a defeat at the hands of Geelong at Princes Park by 50 points. He was recruited from Austral.
Lowenthal passed away on the 1st Feburary, 1960 aged 84, Kensington Victoria
There was a Bill Lowenthal born September 23 1909, who played with Essendon and Fitzroy 1930-37 and appears in a Boyles' 1941 Preston team photo, a relation?
