Game Review

Following victory over the woeful Saints, the (pretty woeful) Blues hung on to the defending premiers Fitzroy through the first half of this match at the Brunswick Street Oval, before succumbing by 32 points. An output of only 15 goals from 7 games suggests the forward line was not functioning particularly well.

One person at the game who obviously wasn't taking much interest was the reporter from the The Age newspaper. He awarded Carlton's goal only goal to Ernie Walton, when in fact it was Wally Ocock who kicked it, early in the first quarter.

At the end of this round Carlton were in 7th spot on the ladder with a percentage of 37.2.
