Matthew Blagrove was a blonde-haired midfielder who spent 2 years with Carlton in 1994 and 1995. Wearing guernsey #49 in 1994 as a Supplementary List player, Blagrove showed enough promise in the reserves to be promoted to the primary list for season 1995. He was assigned guernsey #31 but was unable to break into Carlton’s record breaking side that season and was delisted at the end of the year.

Blagrove had previously played with Essendon reserves in 1993, prior to that he had played football at Montmorency and TAC Cup Team the Northern Knights.

Blagrove never played a senior game for Carlton.
