Game Review
A brilliant first half of play on football by Carlton set up the win. Don Nicholls dominated the centre before half time, and rovers Beasy and Sullivan were too good for the South pair of Skilton and McGowan. Strauch at centre half forward provided a target, and Crowe and Beasy scored seven for the first eight goals. Carlton benefited by Ken Hands' leadership when the Blues' big men started to tire in the second half.
