Footnote

Fitzroy's Tony Ongarello (1952-1960) played in this game. Tony is credited as being the last man to place kick a football in the VFL.
This occured in 1955 against Geelong on the Brunswick Street Oval. He scored two goals that day with this type of kick.
The place kick was rarely seen even in the 1950's.
