Game Review
Carlton kept Melbourne goalless in the first half of this match, and the game was over as a contest by half-time. Melbourne salvaged some pride in the second half, but the Blues coasted to a ten-goal win, with captain Charlie Fisher the star with six goals. This percentage-boosting victory lifted Carlton back into the top four behind South Melbourne, Collingwood and Richmond - a handy position with the finals in sight.
At the end of this round Carlton were in 4th spot on the ladder with a percentage of 143.8.
