Game Review

It appeared that Carlton failed to turn up to this match on Monday out at Waverley and were never in the hunt.

Trailling by 96 points at three-quarter time, a 100 point thrashing seemed inevitable. A 7 goal final term averted that degradation but it was little consolation.

The performance was probably typified by Swan McKay, a genial man reported on this day for striking, who also suffered the ignominy of bursting from a pack, setting sail goalwards and hoofing the ball 50 metres in the wrong direction.
