Game Review
After ten rounds of the season, Melbourne were clear ladder leaders, a massive 35 percentage points clear of Essendon, Collingwood and Fitzroy. Therefore, the inconsistant Blues were given little chance of knocking over the Demons on their home turf at the MCG - but they gave it a real shake.Carlton actually led by 14 points at half-time, and trailed by eight at the last change. We matched the Demons in general play again in the last term, but were dreadfully inaccurate in front of goal - scoring a miserable 9 behinds only, and losing by 13 points.
Carlton fell to eighth on the table - ten points out of the four, and with any chance of a finals berth now gone.
