Augustine was named in the Second Twenty squad of 23 to play Ascot Vale at Ascot Vale.
The Second Twenty Competition was disbanded earlier in July. This was probably due to the severe economic depression affecting Victoria and the country. Carlton Second Twenty secretary Mr. E. Penny wrote to junior clubs to arrange matches for the Blues' reserves.
