2009 National Draft

The 2009 Trade Week saw the Blues swap their first and second round draft selections with Melbourne and Brisbane. Selection 11 (first round) saw Brock McLean arrive in return, while selection 27 (second round) was exchanged as part of the Fevola deal, in which Carlton gained selection 12 and Lachlan Henderson. While two later picks were used to promote 2009 Rookie listed players Sam Jacobs and Aaron Joseph.
