Sam Marron played a single game for Carlton in Season 1904. He was recruited from VAFA club Old Xaverians, he also played for Kew.

Marron passed away on the 6th May, 1954 aged 70.

From Obituary: "He studied dentistry at the University of Melbourne, where he also earned a Football blue. For a time he played League football with Carlton under an assumed name."
