Game Review

A horrid day for the Blues in which we would be smashed by 100 points by Essendon at Windy Hill. The Bombers were at their mid-1980's peak, whilst we were in our mid-1980's trough (between the 1981/1982 Premierships and 1986 - 1988 resurgence) and that apparently made a difference of about 100 points.

The howls of derision that emanated from the worst supporters in the VFL were hard to take (according to people who had the courage to venture out there!!).

Luckily, this would prove to be a watershed day. Later in the year we would end the trauma at Princes Park.
