Game Review

Fifty points to two in the first quarter told the story of this game between Carlton and St Kilda at the Junction Oval. The Blues chipped away at the Saints lead for the rest of the match, but never really threatened.

Earlier in the year, Wes Lofts had represented Victoria as a defender. In this game, he was sent into attack in the second term, and finished up with four goals.
Remarkably, other results had fallen in Carlton's favour over recent weeks, and suddenly, the Blues were once again in with a slim chance of making the finals - sitting sixth on the ladder - one win, and 29% behind fourth-placed Melbourne.
