Mark Passador played some Reserve Grade football in 1999 for the Blues, he was placed onto the Blues Rookie list for the 2000 Season. Passador was originally recruited from Old Trinity via Springvale (he was part of Springvale's 1999 VFL premiership team). Passador would win the Forthergill / Round Medal in 1999 it is presented to the most promising young talent in the VFL competition.

Passador returned back to Springvale for the 2001 season. In 2002 he lined up for VFL club Box Hill, he was named in the VFL team of the year at centre half forward.

Passador ended up heading to SANFL Club Woodville-West Torrens in 2003 where he carved out a successful career for the 'Eagles'. He played for them from 2003 to 2009 whereupon he retired and headed back to Victoria. He became a very decorated player for the club, he played 112 games and kicked 306 goals as a strong marking forward. He was the leading goalkicker in four of his first five years for the club with season goal tallies of 51 in 2003, 46 in 2005, 79 in 2006 and 49 in 2008.

In 2006 he won the League's leading Goalkicking award the Ken Farmer Medal (equiv. to the AFL's Coleman Medal). In that year he was also awarded the Bob Quinn Medal as best player in the Anzac Day match. To top the season of, the Eagles won their second Premiership defeating their nemesis Centrals in the Grand Final by 76 points. He teamed up with former fellow Blues Rookie team-mate Mark McKenzie at the Eagles.

He failed to play a senior game for Carlton.
