He is named in 11 out of 12 remaining team squads, that one is missing.
Lewis possibly played in 12 games.

1892 July 9
Lewis first appears in the squad of 23 for the match against South Melbourne at the M. C. G.
The Argus on the Monday mentions Lewis in the game report.
This was his debut match for the Blues, and he also scored a goal.

1892 August 13
Lewis scored 3 goals in the victory over Footscray on the Warehousemen's Ground in St. Kilda Road.

1892 August 20
Lewis scored 3 goals out of the Blues total of 7 goals in the match against Melbourne at the M. C. G.

1892 CFC Annual Report, Lewis scored 8 goals during the season.

Lewis' name does not appear in the seniors for 1893.

Could be J. J. Lewis who is mentioned in The Herald April 30 p1 1917, as a former Carlton player who was a draughtsman with the Lands Department.
There have been only two other Carlton players named Lewis in the VFL, Bill Lewis and Harry Lewis.
