Wearing guernseys 20 and 29, Morris played 26 games for Carlton after debuting in Season 1914, including both the 1914 and 1915 Premierships. In fact, Morris has a Carlton record of sorts - a Premiership within the fewest actual games, whereby Morris played in the 1914 Flag in only his 5th VFL / AFL match.

The 165cm Morris kicked 14 goals in his time at the Blues. He was both born and recruited from Shepparton.

Morris also wore Guernsey No. 19 early in the 1914 season whilst playing with Carlton's reserves team.
