Pennings Vol 5 p138 has John "Jack" Kendall playing 1 - 2 games 1875- 78 with Geelong. Same person?

There was a Jack Kendall playing cricket for Carlton. In 1875 he was awarded a cricket bat by the club for his excellence in fielding throughout the last season. (A/Asian September 18p11)
