1891 April 25
Simpson played in the charity match against a Combined Juniors (23) team at the East Melbourne C. G.

1891 May 2
H. Simpson ex St.Kilda, played in the opening round match of the season against St.Kilda at the St.Kilda ground.

H. Simpson appears in the 1891 Carlton Football Club team photo.

1893 Simpson crossed to the Collingwood Football Club on the eve of 1893 season along with George Williams and "Billy" William Strickland.
