Dennis ArmfieldCarlton Career: 2008 - Debut: Round 10, 2008 vs Geelong Carlton Player No. 1,115 Games: 26* Goals: 2* Guernsey No. 27 Height: 181cm Weight: 78kg DOB: 22 December, 1986 Dennis Armfield, a quick defender / midfielder from Swan Districts, was selected with pick 46 in the 2007 AFL National Draft. His junior clubs before Swan Districts were Kalamunda and Eastern Hills in Western Australia. Armfield played throughout our pre-season, and looked in good form with the Bullants until a hamstring in the week of Round 6. Despite the injury, Armfield's form in the 2's was good enough to see him elevated to the seniors to take on the reigning premiers in Round 10. Despite the Blues going down by 56 points; Dennis was one of the few players who played well for the Blues, picking up 23 disposals. After 4 games straight, Armfield broke a finger on his hand and had to have surgery. He made his return to the senior team for the Round 18 match against Adelaide and played in the next 3 games. Armfield had a strong second year for Carlton - although sometimes he found himself out of the team, he played 17 games and cracked the 20 mark overall which is a good sign for a second year player.
