Cameron Croad never played a game for Carlton, but was on the list for 2 years. The younger brother of Hawk forward Trent, Cameron was picked at #60 in the 2002 National Draft and was recruited from Vermont via the Oakleigh Chargers. He played throughout 2003 for the Northern Bullants. Croad had sporting heritage with his grandfather being a former New Zealand rugby All-Black.

His first year on Carlton’s senior list was not an outstanding success as he struggled at VFL level with the Northern Bullants. Showed potential at junior level but his progress has not been helped by continual shoulder problems over the past two seasons. Needs to establish himself and push up for senior selection. At the start of 2004, Carlton gave Croad some time away from the Club, time from which he never returned.

2003 Inside Football Profile
He is naturally athletic with plenty of pace and is a strong mark. At 188cm would be a second or third forward option. Missed the latter half of 2002 after injuring a shoulder in the U/18 championship.
