Bob Cooper

Victorian Football Association
Career: 1877

In 1876 J. Cooper and an R. Cooper were on the committee of the Carlton Imperial Football Club, perhaps a tenuous connection, but the Carlton Imps was one of the main "feeder" teams for the Carlton Football Club.

Robert 'Bob' Cooper is named in Carlton team squads in 1877 and playing senior football with Melbourne 1877 - 1878 (Origins of Australian Football Vol 5 p161)

1888 An R. Cooper was one of the 35 man Carlton party of players and officials that went to Tasmania for a series of matches in Hobart. Same person?
