We remember the Premiership heroes; we salute the brave and injured; we respect the enduring champions of old. But do we honestly recognise the guys who played when the Mighty Blues were mere flotsam?

The Great Eras
Carlton Fans have flocked to see Carlton in some of our greater eras; our Triple Premiership era of 1906-1908; our immediate Post WW2 teams of the late 1940's, the 1960's, the 70's-80's, and again in the mid 1990's.

But in between these periods of success came some dark times, in fact, the post 1995 flag era is one of our darkest periods, particularly post 2001.

The Blues who tried
In these Dark Eras, Carlton continued to work towards a better time with different degrees of success.
