There were two presentations with league football on Saturday evening. After their match with Essendon the Carlton team met at the Covent-garden Cafe, where Mr. Worrall, on behalf of the club presented Mr. E. Walton, one of their players, with a silver cruet, as a wedding gift.
Mr. Evans the president of the club, made a presentation of a silver egg cruet on his own account. The league team which recently visited Ballarat presented their manager, Mr. Dyson, with a coffee service, accompanying the gift with the opinion that he was A regular little gentleman."
