George De Crespigny played reserve grade football for Carlton in 1999. De Crespigny was also used as a top-up player for Melbourne reserves in 1997.

De Crespigny was originally recruited from Berwick via TAC Cup team the Southern Stingrays. He was playing at VAFA Club University Blues when he was called up to play reserve grade football for the Blues. De Crespigny would later play with VAFA club University Blacks before retiring at the end of 2009. He represented the VAFA on three occassions in 1999 (twice) and 2000 (once).

He didn't play a senior game for Carlton.

De Crespigny would later be involved at AFL administation level as a sponsorship manager.
