Crouch debuted for Carlton in the match against Port Melbourne, Carlton won.
"Crouch and Collinson, two new players who stripped for Carlton, inquired after a game with Ports during the week." (Sportsman August 27 p6)
Collinson could be a misprint and actually be William Colson
Crouch transferred to Albert Park in 1896
Both Crouch and Collinson appear in many of the Albert Park team squads in 1897

At a meeting of the Albert Park Football Club on Wednesday April 01 the Record (p3) reported, among the new players they expect are;
" .....Couch from Carlton; ....."
Volume 5 of "Origins of Australian Football" (p45) has Crouch listed for Carlton in 1895.
