Wearing guernsey #28, Treweek played 6 games for Carlton after debuting in Navy Blue in Season 1934. He was recruited from Caulfield after originally playing for CBC Victoria Parade.

Treweek later moved to Fitzroy where he played from 1937 until 1940, in this time he managed to play 57 games for the Lions.
Bernie's good form in 1939 secured him a spot in the Victorian team.

Treweek passed away on the 27th November, 1957 aged 43.
